About the Moody Blues rose

Moody Blues is bred by Schreurs, the same Dutch breeding house behind Cool Water and Pinkfloid, and stands out for its layered, two-tone lavender bloom — darker, richer purple tones on the outer petals that soften into a lighter lavender toward the center. Its large, full head has a layered look reminiscent of a garden rose rather than a flatter classic hybrid tea form. At Flores el Progreso, Moody Blues is grown in our Nemocón, Cundinamarca greenhouses, where altitude and light conditions support its bloom size and color depth.

As one of a limited number of true lavender roses in the international market, Moody Blues is often chosen specifically by buyers who want a distinctive, non-standard color for their arrangements.

Did you know?

Moody Blues’ color runs opposite to what you’d expect from most bicolor roses — its outer petals are the darkest, deepest lavender, while the interior petals are noticeably lighter, giving the bloom a layered, almost ombré look from the outside in.
