About the Sweetness rose

Sweetness is bred by Rosen Tantau, the fourth variety from this German breeding house in Flores el Progreso’s catalog alongside Freedom, Vendela, and Topaz. Tantau’s own description captures it best: the variety “looks like vanilla ice cream with raspberry sauce” — a soft cream-to-white base with red accents concentrated at the petal tips and edges. At Flores el Progreso, Sweetness is grown in our Nemocón, Cundinamarca greenhouses, where altitude and light conditions support its bloom size and color contrast.

Its soft, dessert-like color combination gives Sweetness a gentler bicolor look than more dramatic contrast varieties like Bluez+ or Blush — closer to a delicate accent than a bold statement color.

Did you know?

Rosen Tantau, Sweetness’ own breeder, describes its color combination as looking “like vanilla ice cream with raspberry sauce” — a fitting description for its soft cream base with red-tipped petals.

Common uses

Valentine's Day & romantic gifting

Its soft red-and-cream palette suits romantic occasions without the intensity of solid red.

Weddings & bridal work

A gentle bicolor accent for soft, romantic palettes.

Mixed & monochromatic bouquets

Pairs naturally with Vendela or Mondial for a soft cream base, or with Freedom for deeper red contrast.
