About the Topaz rose

Topaz is bred by Rosen Tantau, the same German breeding house behind Freedom and Vendela, and stands out for its vivid, intense magenta-pink color — brighter and more saturated than a standard pink, with subtle purple undertones. Its extra-large bloom and high petal count give it a full, dramatic presence in arrangements. At Flores el Progreso, Topaz is grown in our Nemocón, Cundinamarca greenhouses, where altitude and light conditions support its bloom size and color intensity.

Named after the semi-precious stone for its rich, saturated color, Topaz works well as a bold focal flower — a true hot pink that reads clearly even at a distance, distinct from the softer light pink of Arlene or the deeper pink-red of Pinkfloid.

Did you know?

Topaz is one of three Rosen Tantau varieties in Flores el Progreso’s catalog, alongside Freedom and Vendela — all bred by the same German house, each occupying a different corner of the color spectrum from deep red to ivory white to vivid hot pink.
